CT4 Experience

The Aero Club “Experience” series gave us a new flying opportunity to pilot the CT/4A with original registration number A19-055. VH-SZK was first flown in 1975 and used as a trainer with the RAAF. The aircraft was purchased by Rotorlift in 2012 and given an extensive strip and re-build with a new engine, fuel system, control cables and returned to it’s original RAAF livery.

A great day was well enjoyed by many of our members.

Club Event

A number of our members enjoyed a lesson in Par Avion's Helicopter.

About Us

Aero Club of SouthernTasmania was formed as a company limited by guarantee on the first of July 1947 and mostly flew Tigers, Austers and Chipmunks.

In January 1978 the club reached a total of 100,000 flying hours.

Whilst the club no longer provides flying training it offers a great environment for members to both socialise and enjoy a local flight, or as many members do, a flight anywhere throughout Australia.

As a place for members, both old and new, we come together in a comfortable and considerate environment and share the passion and excitement that only flying offers.
