Periodically, the Royal Federation of Aero Clubs award scholarships to assist young trainee pilots with their flying costs.

I'm pleased to inform you that Matt Lyon has been awarded one of these. Matt is a keen young student who has shown consistent keenness and aptitude in his flying so far. Congratulations Matt!

Any student or prospective student is invited to apply should any further scholarships be available next year. Awarding of scholarships is at the discretion of the instructors panel and club committee. Success in obtaining a scholarship depends upon a number of factors from skill (according to your level of experience), general attitude to flying and  willingness to commit and persevere with flying training to a PPL level. Your intentions regarding pursuing a career in aviation may be considered, but students who are only intending  to go to PPL level are still very much encouraged to apply.
